In Los Angeles, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. ★★★☆☆ The food at Urth Caffé was good overall, with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the desserts are definitely one of their strongest points. I tried the tiramisu and really enjoyed the flavors, although mine was a little dense and could have been lighter and fluffier. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was accessibility. My father uses a wheelchair, and having to get him up four or five steps was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. A place this busy should be much more conscious and accommodating toward guests with disabilities. The tables also weren’t very clean during our visit, and I noticed the staff were not wearing masks, which, combined with the cleanliness issue, didn’t leave the best impression regarding their hygiene standards. Good food and very tempting desserts, but accessibility and cleanliness definitely need improvement.

Really enjoyed my visit to Urth Caffé. 🌿☕️ The avocado toast was fresh and delicious, and I especially liked the wheat bread with lots of scrambled eggs, although the bread was a little too thick for my preference—I think a thinner slice would make it even better. 🥑 The Spanish Latte was definitely the highlight: smooth, creamy, and really good. I also loved the spacious, relaxed, and earthy atmosphere of the café. A great place to enjoy good food and get my much-needed coffee fix. 🤎

I had the chicken pesto sandwich with a salad, a Nutella pastry, and a latte for a great night cap. I love this place so much I devoured everything. The pesto sauce was so fresh and the ciabotta bread was so delicious. The salad tasted so fresh, loved the vinaigrette ! A must try!

Me and my friend visited this location this past Saturday for the first time. I ordered an avocado toast, which doesn’t come with any protein and the toast is way too thick for me. They are generous on the avocado but it was a bit much for me. I would rather have a thinner bread and and nice avocado spread instead of smashed avocado chunks. I paid extra $3 for a single egg but it was a small egg they should at least give out 2 for that price. I order an iced matcha. It was good but sweet. Id ask for less sweet if I ever go again. My friend ordered a turkey sandwich I think his was $24 dollars, and a strawberry lemonade. The drink was good. The sandwich had a thick bread it was hard to get a good bite. When I asked for an egg after I got my plate they were fast, I didn’t have to return to the line to pay for it and the manager was nice.

I stopped by Urth Caffé in the Arts District after walking around the area for a bit. The place was busy but still had a relaxed vibe. I ordered a Spanish latte and a breakfast sandwich, and both were good without feeling overhyped. The coffee was smooth and not too sweet, which I liked. The outdoor seating was probably my favorite part since it felt nice to just sit and people-watch for a while. Service was a little slow during the rush, but the staff were still friendly. Overall, it’s a solid café if you want a comfortable spot to hang out, grab coffee, and take a break from the city.
